Campus Life in Dongseo University

The students here are quite hardworking. I had seen quite a number of them holding on their textbooks when they go to class. The books that they use are all written in Korean language. There are hardly any books in English, even computer books.

They are very fashionable as well. As I walked around, I saw many people who dye their hair, mostly in gold color. You can see the students there, be it guys or girls in various hairstyle. I can say that 99% of the Korean girls do makeup, even the aunties selling noodles makeup. It's quite a norm here. The dress, clothes, glasses and hair accessories are very unique. Under such a cold weather(for Malaysians), the students here dress like as if they are in a tropical country like Malaysia. It seems to be normal for them here. But, I have not seen any Korean students wearing slippers when they go for class. (p/s: there's hardly any leng lui or leng chai here, but most of them are very fair, like flour and their skin is very smooth. Their eyes are mostly small and long, makes them look a bit fierce. They are quite tall, even girls.)

Student card is not a must to enter the library. No one will be checking your dress code as well. Bags can be brought into the library as well. There's 8 levels for the library, though the space for each level is relatively small. There are a few English magazines in the library for reading. But, we still need the card to borrow books. The maximum number of books that they can borrow is 2 or 3.

Unlike in Malaysia, students need to put the dishes, leftover food and cups to the appropriate place in the canteen after their meals. The same goes for McDonalds.

There's a lot students(male) here who smoke. Unlike in Malaysia, they can smoke anywhere they want in the campus. It’s quite easy to spot couples around the campus as well as you can see them holding hand in hand or putting their hands on the shoulder etc.

The students here are very active in clubs and societies. Even at around 7pm, we are able to hear people singing, playing band etc.

The bathroom in the International House is open. It doesn't mean that guys and girls bath together. But, the shower heads are not separated. Luckily, the number of girls is not many. Thus, we can have the bathroom to ourselves as we bath. The guys need to bath together :P They seems to get use to it.

The bandwidth here is very fast. I can download up to a max of 200+kps.
