May 31 - Day 3 in Korea

At around 11.30am, Wei Shi guided us to the Immigration Office to do the Alien Card(it is necessary if we need to stay in Korea for more than 90 days). We took the subway to Seomyeon Station, then change line to Churyang Dong Station. The subway station is quite different than in Malaysia in the sense that they have a lot of decorative items, such as portraits around. There’s no damage done to these portraits. If it's in Malaysia, I am sure that it will be vandalized.

As we reached there, realized that we should have go down after the next 2 stations. The materials needed for the application are 2 passport size photos, 10,000 won stamp, and a certificate by Dongseo University stated that we are exchange students. After that, we need to wait for 15 days before we can collect our card. We had our lunch at McDonald, which is quite near to Jungang Dong Station and the Immigration Office. There are some burgers there which cannot be found in Malaysia, such as the Shrimp burger(2,500 won) and Bulgogi burger(pork burger). The set meals there cost around 3,500 won. Then, we took the subway back. p/s: the sundae con here is almost the same price as in Malaysia.

As we reached the station, Wei Shi showed us the way to Dongseo University shuttle bus station. It is located very near to the subway station. The shuttle bus is free. The shuttle bus station in the campus is located just beside the library or International Exchange Center building.

At around 6pm, Ryan, Yushu and I took our dinner at Green Hall(the canteen close at 7pm). We had problem reading the menu without any displays. We asked the cashier if they have any dishes with rice. Its kind of funny as we do not really understand what she was saying. Then, suddenly a Korean student came by and said, “Delicious”. We directly ordered that dish, Dongkasu. It’s almost like the hamburger steak that we ordered yesterday, but the servings were bigger and with smash potatoes.
